The Back Seat

In a minivan, or any car for that matter, a mom that is driving can only do so much to keep an eye on her children. We have one of those 2-seat bench seats in the middle row of our van. I now appreciate the separate captains chairs even more than I thought I would. Thomas moved to the "way back" when Kate arrived. I figured I needed access to the girls more since Thomas is pretty self sufficient. I was slightly concerned about the fact that Caroline could easily reach Kate, but up until today, she's done fine. Just an occasional passie or blanket theft, but no injuries or feeding her things. Good!

Today was the day.... I heard Caroline giggling her sweet little giggle and glanced in the rear view mirror to see what she was up to. I expected to see her smiling at her sister or even playing peek a boo, which she does sometimes. Nope. I saw these in Kate's mouth....

Caroline's TOES!!! Gross gross gross! After being totally gooed out and explaining to her (firmly) that we don't put our feet in the baby's mouth, or the entire carseat for that matter, I had to laugh myself. Poor Kate. I'm sure this is only the beginning of the sibling abuse you may endure. It's a good thing they love you so much.....
